Hello there! At OpenWorks, we are actively seeking a Project Manager for one of our clients. This is a hybrid Contractor position (3 days in-office, 2 days remote), open in Bogotá, Colombia, under a full-time, indefinite contract. You’ll have the opportunity to set your own monthly compensation expectations.

As the Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving the success of client onboarding and project execution post-sale. You’ll collaborate with various teams including procurement, tech, and executive leadership to ensure smooth, on-time delivery of projects across multiple time zones. You will play a pivotal role in stakeholder communication, documentation, and maintaining project momentum. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, great communication, and a passion for making things happen.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Location: Bogotá, Colombia (Hybrid – 3 days in-office, 2 remote)
- Type of contract: Full-time, (Término Indefinido)

- Working hours: 45h per week, 9-hour shifts between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility may be required from time to time as workload, project requirements or to support clients in different time zones.
What You’ll Do
- Kick off projects by aligning stakeholders, defining scope, and setting expectations
- Act as a key liaison between the client and internal teams after the sale
- Assign tasks, manage schedules, and ensure timely execution of project phases
- Monitor progress against plans, flagging delays and roadblocks
- Manage client onboarding and ensure consistent project delivery
- Collaborate with procurement, tech, and executive teams to execute project milestones
- Coordinate across departments and time zones, ensuring alignment and momentum
- Maintain and update project documentation, schedules, and status reports
- Support the Head of Projects in meeting deadlines, budgets, and performance metrics
- Facilitate communication with clients, providing clear updates and managing expectations
- Create helpful guides, one-pagers, and flowcharts to streamline processes
- Track decisions, lessons learned, and continuously improve documentation practices
- Work alongside a senior project manager and a junior PM, with direct reporting to the Head of Projects
Here’s Your Tech Playground
- Advanced English (C1/C2 level) and excellent verbal and written communication skills (international audience) for global stakeholders
- 5+ years of experience in an MSP or fast-paced/startup technology company
- Formal project management qualification is a must
- Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams
- Background in client onboarding, full project lifecycle, and stakeholder coordination
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Familiarity with any project tools like GuideCX, Asana, ClickUp, or Jira
- Proactive self-starter who gets things done
- Customer-first attitude with great listening and questioning abilities
- Positive team player who thrives in collaborative environments
- Sharp attention to detail and love for getting things right
- Curious learner, always seeking to improve and grow
- Cool under pressure—manages deadlines without breaking a sweat
- Skilled multitasker who can handle several projects simultaneously
- High level of autonomy required – you’re expected to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
Bonus Skills - Microsoft or other technical certifications are a plus
- Experience with financial clients (hedge funds, asset managers)
- Understanding of procurement processes and team collaboration
- Exposure to Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and startups
