Hello there! At OpenWorks, we are actively seeking a Senior .NET Developer for one of our clients. This is a 100% Remote Contractor position open to Latin America, under a 6-month contract with the possibility of renewal.

As a Senior .NET Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will work across the full development stack, developing robust back-end APIs, updating legacy applications, and contributing to future development efforts. You’ll be part of a collaborative team of 3 to 5 developers, working under the guidance of a Team Lead, and will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

- Location: Latin America
- Type of contract: Full-time Contractor (6-month contract with potential renewal)
- Salary: $2,800–$4,200 USD/month
- Working hours: PST/PDT time zone
What You’ll Do
- Understand the business domain and customers’ objectives in order to provide the right solution
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to drive projects from idea to implementation
- Architect scalable, maintainable, and flexible software solutions
- Develop robust back-end APIs and well-functioning databases
- Build functional front-ends with a focus on usability
- Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges
- Update legacy applications including compiler/library upgrades and Linux environment migration
- Validate and fix broken functionality post-migration
- Contribute to future development initiatives
- Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with a team of 3 to 5 members
- Report directly to the Engineering Manager, following direction from the team lead

Here’s Your Tech Playground
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in .NET development (full stack desirable)
- Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2)
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies and the .NET ecosystem, especially ASP.NET
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Independent self-starter with great teamwork abilities
- Capable of producing results with minimal guidance
- Leadership experience is a plus
