As a Technical Interviewer, you will play a crucial role in identifying and assessing top talent for a variety of technical and non-technical roles across our organization. You will partner closely with the Talent Acquisition Team to understand the specific needs and requirements, and then leverage your expertise to conduct comprehensive interviews that evaluate candidates’ skills, knowledge, and cultural fit. You’ll conduct technical assessments for candidates applying to various software development roles. This includes backend, frontend, data, cloud, and related domains. The successful candidate will leverage their software development expertise to rigorously evaluate candidates’ technical competencies through live coding exercises and logic assessments.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Location: LATAM (Colombia, México, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, Brazil / Brasil, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Peru, Panama, Guatemala, etc.)
- Type of Contract: Contractor, 100% remote, in a part-time/freelance modality.
- Schedule: We expect a Calendar availability of at least 3-4 hours per day to interview candidates, in working hours of Latin American time-zones. However, if you only have room to conduct interviews at night, that works too.
- Salary:$8-$9 USD for each interview + feedback/notes you provide.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct in-depth technical and behavioral interviews in English, for a wide range of software development roles, adhering to OpenWorks’ best interview practices guidelines to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Assess candidates’ technical skills, knowledge, experience and English level, ensuring alignment with the specific requirements of each role.
- Evaluate candidates’ problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and overall cultural fit.
- If our client requests it, assess candidates’ technical skills through live logic challenges, and problem-solving exercises (you will not design them; you will only apply them)
- Prepare interview notes following OpenWorks’ Talent Department guidelines and best practices and submit the interview feedback within established deadlines.
Here’s Your Playground
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Recruiting experience IS NOT mandatory. You just need a demonstrated commitment to learning and applying best practices in technical interviewing!
- +2 years of professional experience in software development, with a primary focus on backend development and a strong familiarity with frontend and cloud technologies.
- Broad technical expertise across multiple software development areas, including data, cloud, backend, and frontend.
- Calendar availability of at least 3-4 hours per day to interview candidates, in working hours of Latin American time-zones. However, if you only have room to conduct interviews at night, that works too.
- Advanced English (C1 or C2 proficiency) is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are sociable, and you like to talk to people.
- Demonstrable interest in the recruitment job/industry.
- Bonus: Experience working in startup or small-business environments.
- Bonus: Experience working for North America-based companies.
- Bonus: Prios experience as Recruiter/Interviewer.
